Leaf Headband DIY

Yeah... a leaf headband is perfect for fall. Yeah... fall is close to over. (Where does the time go - and what's with all the Christmas craziness already?) But here is a fun headband to whip yourself up for fall. I like to wear it through the winter anyway so I have a reminder that the leaves will be back in no time at all.

This is what you will need...
-Some leftover yarn in a favorite color
- J Hook

Stitches:
Chain (Ch)
Slip Stitch (Sl st)
Single Crochet (Sc)
Half Double Crochet (Hdc)
Double Crochet (Dc)
Triple/Treble Crochet (Tc)
Quadruple Crochet (Qc)

Ch. 10.
Sl st in second ch from hook.
Sc in next Ch.
Hdc in next Ch.
Dc in next Ch.
1 Tc in each of next 2 Ch.
Qc in next Ch.
8 Qc into final Ch allowing it to work in a half circle around the end of the piece.
Now continue working up the opposite side of the original Ch 10.
Qc in the next Ch.
Tc in the next Ch.
Dc in the next Ch.
Hdc in the next Ch.
Sc in the next Ch.
and finish with 3 sl st's working up the pointed part of the leaf.

Now continue on to make the headband.
Ch a number that allows the piece to fit around your head. For me, that is 50 Ch.
Attach with a sl st to the circular base of the leave. Cut, bind off, and weave in your ends.

Congrats on making a super cute and simple headband! Wear it hope for the leaves to return soon!
